in 2009 the total enrollment was 6187 students, distributed as follows:

in our town there are a total of 41 schools which housed:

* 22 non-formal or Community Preschool
* 19 Multi-Primary Schools
* 18 regular primary
* 7 High School Day Care
* 1 Secuandaria Distance
* 1 Special School
* 2 CEDA

in all institutes of the Federation is organized secunadarias of high school students at the municipal level that is composed of about 150 students. FES has as main objectives the promotion and protection of students and educational means and techniques.
