Economic activity that stands out most is the craft in clay, not only as utilitarian comales or pots, but that reflected in many artistic adornments. 




Roberto Carlos Guardian is one of the hundreds of artisans of La Paz. His first act in the mud was 24 years ago and since then is still learning the art of molding with hands different ways. 




Monthly, at the place where he becomes about 2000 pounds of clay, a little over 1000 pieces in mostly marketed in San Juan de Oriente.
The manufacturing process is as follows: Once the material extracted from the mine is the sour for 3 or 4 days, then passes through a mesh to remove impurities and is introduced into the pile of drying. 




When estimating an adequate moisture is mixed with their feet by eliminating any hardness that has been weighed and then the portions according to the shape and size. When the clay is ready to move on to the winch and once molded figures is dried and baked at a temperature of 800C.
